Magnetic Force on Conductors
Levitating Wire Mass Calculation
A straight wire of mass ‘M’ and length 2 m is placed in a magnetic field of 2 T which is acting perpendicular to the length of the wire. When a current of 1 A flows through the wire, the wire experiences an upthrust and levitates in a magnetic field. The mass ‘M’ of the wire is (acceleration due to gravity g = 10 m/s2)
